How it works
Booking a mechanic should be as easy as booking a table. Here's what happens, step by step.
- 1
Get an instant price
Enter your postal code, choose "Come to me" or "I'll bring it in", add your vehicle's year, make and model, pick the work you need and see one fixed price in Canadian dollars.
- 2
Choose a mechanic or garage and a time
Pick a local mechanic or nearby garage by name, or let the first available one take it, then choose a morning or afternoon arrival or drop-off window (Pacific Time).
- 3
Confirm your booking
Review your job details and send your booking request. Online card payments are not enabled yet; agree payment arrangements with your mechanic.
- 1
Your mechanic confirms
You get their profile by email as soon as they accept the job.
- 2
The work gets done
Mobile: your mechanic calls ahead, does the job at your home or work and explains what they did. Garage: drop the car off in your window (we email the address) and they call you when it's ready to collect.
- 3
Approve, pay and review
Check the work in your account. Approve the finished work in your account, then leave a review. Arrange payment directly with your mechanic while online payments are unavailable.
Come to me, or I'll bring it in
Most jobs can be done either way – you choose on the first step. Jobs that need a lift or workshop equipment (clutch jobs, DPF cleans, EGR valves, out-of-province inspections and wheel alignments) are done at a local garage, and we'll switch you to drop-off automatically. Garages show their approximate area, distance, hours and amenities before you book; you get the full address in your confirmation.
Why it's different
- Fair to mechanics. They pay a flat $5.00 per completed job instead of a percentage, so more of your money goes to the person doing the work.
- Fixed prices. No surprise bills. Extra work is only done if you agree to a new price.
- Your approval. Review the finished work and leave a genuine booking review.
